After multiple postponements, Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has finally locked a new release date. Don’t miss Varun’s intriguing first look!

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have teamed up for Shashank Khaitan’s upcoming film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. This marks the actors’ second on-screen collaboration after Bawaal, and fans are super-excited to see them together once again! The film, which has been postponed several times, has finally got another release date. The film, which was earlier slated to release on September 12, will now hit the screens on October 2, 2025! The makers announced the new release date, and dropped Varun’s first look as Sunny Sanskari, leaving fans intrigued.

On Monday, the official social media handle of Dharma Productions shared Varun Dhawan’s first look poster from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The actor is seen beaming with joy, as he poses with folded hands in the picture. He is seen wearing a shiny beige embroidered shirt with blingy accessories, and sunglasses. The poster revealed the new release date of the film- 2nd October 2025. “Varun Dhawan as Sunny Sanskari,” read the text on the poster.

The makers shared the poster with a caption that read, “Sunny Sanskari ki shaayari – ‘Yeh aansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin…Yeh aansoon hai mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Baarish ka kya bharosa, aaj hai…kal nahi!!!’#SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari in cinemas, 2nd October 2025!” Check it out below!

This films marks Varun’s third collaboration with director Shashank Khaitan after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Apart from Varun and Janhvi, the film also stars Akshay Oberoi, Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra and Maniesh Paul.

Bollywood Hungama quoted a source saying, “Producer Karan Johar and the whole team realized that this is the apt time to bring this romcom. This year, besides Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra also falls on the same day. Hence, it’ll be a festive period and hopefully, it will face no other competition until Diwali. In other words, it will have a clean run for three weeks.”

With its new release date, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is set to clash at the box office with Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 and the Harshvardhan Rane starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.

Meanwhile, apart from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Janhvi Kapoor also has ‘Param Sundari’, which will release on August 29. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan has ‘Border 2’ which will release ext year, on Republic Day.
