Did Rinki just switch sides and join Banrakas after his wife’s victory in the panchayat elections? Well, not on the screen, but in real life. Panchayat stars, Durgesh Kumar, best known for playing Bhushan Sharma, also called Banrakas, and Sanvikaa, who portrays Rinki, have just posed for a sweet picture, and fans cannot stop talking about it.
Taking to his Instagram account on Sunday, June 29, Durgesh shared the photo with his co-star. In it, Sanvikaa looked effortlessly gorgeous in a tissue silk saree, which she paired with dainty pieces of jewellery. Standing next to her, Durgesh kept it casual in a plain kurta with denim jeans. What made the picture all the more special was the way in which Sanvikaa placed her hand over the actor’s shoulder, showcasing both warmth and respect towards her co-star. Durgesh posted the photo without any caption.
Immediately after he shared the picture, fans started reacting in the comment section, with one saying, “Too good.” Another hilariously quipped, “Rinki ji gaddar nikli, ab kya hoga pardhan ji ka.” A different fan of the series said, “Rinki ne party badal li.”
The playful reactions from fans come after the release of the highly anticipated fourth season of the hit comedy series Panchayat, which premiered on Prime Video on June 24, offering fans yet another captivating season centred on the politics in Phulera. This time, the story primarily focused on the panchayat election in Phulera, featuring a fierce contest between Manju Devi and Kranti Devi. The latter, backed by MLA Chandrakishore, defeated Manju Devi by a margin of 73 votes. While Bhushan’s supporters enjoy their victory, Pradhan Ji is left devastated.
Season four also showed that Abhishek Tripathi, aka Sachiv Ji, cleared his CAT exam with flying colours. It also revolved around the budding romance between Sachiv Ji and Rinki, who end up confessing their feelings for one another.
The fourth season of Panchayat featured a cast that included Neena Gupta, Jitendra Kumar, Sanvikaa, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar and Prakash Jha. Following another successful season, Panchayat has been renewed for a fifth season. Although no official release date has been announced, actor Sanvikaa has confirmed that Panchayat Season 5 is already in development, with shooting likely to begin by late 2025.
