Samay Raina’s name is now known by everyone in India and possibly overseas. The controversies surrounding his vulgar comments on one of the episodes of India’s Got Latent made him infamously popular everywhere. He, along with Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, was brutally criticized by netizens for their excessively vulgar jokes on the show. An inquiry was set up, and now these controversies, interrogations, and online threats are affecting Samay’s mental state.

Reportedly, Samay himself told this to officials during the interrogation. On Monday, the YouTuber and comedian was interrogated by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in Navi Mumbai, and during the investigation, he expressed regret for whatever he said and also mentioned that what he said on India’s Got Latent came “in the flow of the show.”

Furthermore, a report by IANS claims that Raina also spoke about his mental health. He admitted before the officials that these controversies have affected his mental state, leading him to struggle to focus mentally on his recent foreign tour.

“I regret what I said, and I am aware that my comments were wrong,” he stated. Samay is now keeping a low profile and hasn’t made any public appearances in India, nor is he allowed to do any shows. He has already deleted the controversial episode from his YouTube channel and is now looking for a fresh start, but when it will come, no one knows.
