Sikandar – Not a remake of Sarkar:
The trailer for Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Sikandar has been launched today. There was much discussion about this one being a remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s political action drama, Sarkar (2018). That film was also directed by AR Murugadoss, and Sikandar is helmed by the same director. Well, it’s clear now that Sikandar is not a remake of Sarkar, so those who claimed that can hide in a hole now.
Sarkar Story:
Sarkar, starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh, tells the story of an NRI who comes to India to cast his vote. However, he is appalled to discover that someone else has already cast a bogus vote in his name. This leads him to start an awareness campaign about the voting system in rural areas, eventually entering politics and running for elections.
Sikandar story:
Now, as we can see in the Sikandar trailer, it tells the story of a man, a messiah for the public, who hunts down corrupt individuals within the system. Moreover, it features a romantic subplot exploring the love story between a husband and wife, followed by a tragedy. The man travels to Mumbai to resolve certain matters, where he meets another girl and must save her and two others from dangerous people.

Now, tell me, from which angle does it have any similarities with Sarkar? Hence proved again: social media rumors and baseless speculations should not be taken seriously. In this case, it went viral because it is a major film with many prominent names attached, prompting the director to clarify that it is an original script.
