Salaar Re-release Box Office:

Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, starring Prabhas in the lead role, returned to cinemas 15 months after its original release and has received a fair response at the ticket windows. Prashanth Neel’s action drama was released during Christmas 2023, emerged as a hit in its Hindi-dubbed version, and fared as an average grosser in other languages. The box office reporting had become challenging at that time due to an ugly box office clash against Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.

I remember, 15 months ago, there was a lot of discussion about corporate bookings and self-buyings of tickets, but no one could actually prove it. Pinkvilla did mention two films released at Christmas, and many others, but didn’t name the films. That was definitely a clever move to state the truth indirectly, but alas, no one really cares about facts when it comes to messy fan wars on social media. According to trackers, the film collected ₹3.24 crore gross, while the actual figures might be slightly lower in the range of ₹3-3.10 crore gross. We will get a clearer picture soon. Nonetheless, this is a good start for a film that has been viewed by so many people on the OTT platform. This re-release was more like a fans’ celebration, which couldn’t be joyful last time due to the clash.
