Tiger Shroff’s action-packed entertainer Baaghi 4 stormed into cinemas last week with a thunderous opening, but the film’s momentum slowed quickly after its first Monday. Now, in its second weekend, the movie is trying to find steady ground again, with trade numbers showing a small boost on Saturday.

Second weekend holds key

On day 9, Saturday, Baaghi 4 is estimated to have collected Rs 1.75 crore, up from Rs 1.25 crore on Friday. With this, the film’s total earnings stand at Rs 47.50 crore, inching closer to the Rs 50 crore milestone. Whether it crosses the mark or not will depend on how it performs in the coming days.

Box office clash

Released on 5 September, Baaghi 4 went head-to-head with Vivek Agnihotri’s political drama The Bengal Files and Hollywood’s horror flick The Conjuring: Last Rites. While Tiger’s film has stayed ahead of The Bengal Files in India, it couldn’t keep up with The Conjuring: Last Rites, which has already grossed Rs 72 crore domestically.

Baaghi 4 review

News18 gave the film 2 stars. An excerpt from the review read, “Violence? Over the top. Story? Barely there. Acting? Suffocated by poor writing. Baaghi 4 delivers clichés, making the film feel more like an exhausting action reel than a coherent drama. Best advice? Save yourself. There’s a dialogue in the film, “Alisha, teri zarurat thi mere liye zaruri.” But honestly, Baaghi 4 was neither required nor necessary. As the face of the Baaghi franchise, Tiger once again takes center stage, but this time the role offers little beyond his usual mix of action, shouting, and brooding. While he clearly puts effort into the stunts and tries to carry the film, the weak script drags him down. His performance feels repetitive and fatigued, showing that not every action setup can be saved by sheer physicality.”

The Bengal Files review

News18 gave the film 2 stars. An excerpt from the review read, “In a nutshell, Agnihotri’s ‘Bangal zameen ka tukda nahi, India ka lighthouse hai’ narrative goes haywire. There’s Rajanikanta Sen’s Dhono Dhanno Pushpe Bhora playing in the background as Bengal burns and it aptly highlights the irony. But then, information-heavy dialogues to reiterate the greatness of Bengal come across as too literature-esque. And while he manages to shed light on the riots and its impact in the track that takes place pre-Partition, the second track takes a long, meandering road to arrive to its overarching theme, leaving the narrative scattered.”
