A paparazzi account shared a new poster for Rohit Dhawan’s upcoming project, starring Ranbir Kapoor as ‘Ultimate Fighter’ has gone viral. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his role in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana but has not yet begun filming. According to India Today, Ranbir Kapoor is focused on achieving his desired physical form through diet and exercise rather than relying on CGI and VFX for his appearance.
While Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Ram in this movie, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. Before Sai, Ranbir’s actress-wife, Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role of Sita but she backed out due to dates-related issues.
KGF star Yash is also likely to play Ravana in the movie whereas Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively. Arun Govil, popularly known for playing the role of Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, will now be stepping into the shoes of King Dashrath. Besides this, Lara Dutta will also be seen as Kaikeyi in the movie.
Reportedly, makers are planning to release Ramayana on Diwali 2025. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now. The production of Ramayana has commenced, with Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, and other actors filming their parts.
