Film aces in the technical departments, especially in VFX, camera and SFX with crisp editing. Talking about the performances, everyone in the cast has done a splendid job but it’s a VFX character of Munjya, who has stolen the show. Munjya is a theatrical experience and deserves a watch for its novelty and authenticity.

Those who are looking for a full-blown horror movie (think Conjuring, The Exorcist), might be in for a disappointment because the jokes and gags tend to dilute the horror in this 123-minute-long film. Munjya (the film) over-compensates for its scares with too-many light-hearted moments. It works well nonetheless but don’t expect Stree-level perfection from it. Here’s hoping India’s Maddock Supernatural Universe (MSU) grows with similar tales rooted in folklores.
