The incident happened a few months ago. Nitara was chatting with other players in the game. At first, the person sent normal messages like “well played” and asked simple questions. He wanted to know where she was from. When she said Mumbai, the talk stayed friendly for a bit. Then he asked if she was a boy or a girl. Nitara replied that she is a girl. Right after that, he messaged her to send nude pictures of herself.

Nitara did not panic. She quickly switched off the game and told her mother, Twinkle Khanna, everything. Akshay Kumar later praised his daughter for being brave and smart. He shared the full story himself at a cyber awareness event in Mumbai in October 2025. He said this is how many online crimes start and asked schools to teach children about internet safety.

On April 24, 2026, Additional Director General of Police Yashasvi Yadav from Maharashtra Cyber confirmed the arrest. He was speaking at R.D. National College during a cyber awareness session. Yadav said Nitara’s quick report to her parents helped the police catch the man fast. He called the case an example of how quickly strangers can turn dangerous online.

Cyber experts say parents should watch what games their children play and teach them to report bad messages at once. Police helplines like 1930 are always ready to help. Akshay Kumar’s family reported the matter promptly, showing that speaking up can stop such crimes.
