The IMAX trailer shows Mae (Freya Allen) embarking on a journey to determine the future of both humans and apes with a common chimpanzee named Noa.

The extended IMAX trailer of the much-anticipated Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has been unveiled by 20th Century Studios. Directed by Wes Ball, it is the fourth installment of the popular film franchise Planet Of Apes. The “special look” has offered viewers a glimpse into the tyrannical world of apes, infused with umpteen fight sequences and a war between humans and the intellectual species. The latest trailer features actress Freya Allen as Mae and a common chimpanzee named Noa (Owen Teague). Together they embark on a journey to determine the future of both humans and apes. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will premiere theatrically on May 10.

“Their kingdom awaits us. Enjoy this special look at Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes releasing in cinemas on May 10,” read the Instagram caption on the official handle of 20th Century Studios. The gritty preview opens with Mae, a feral human being hunted by a group of aggressive gorillas. She runs for her life, hiding behind the tall bushes to escape death. Crawling through the fields, she hears Noa calling out her name. Noa can be seen riding on a horse, desperately looking for Mae.

Mustering all her courage, Mae stands up and starts running towards Noa as the gorillas chase her from behind. In a heart-stopping visual, Mae manages to jump on the horse, escaping the claws of the gorilla, by a whisker. Although she evades the capture, the danger is far from over. The trailer then reveals that previously there was a time when humans and apes co-existed peacefully. But now apes were the rulers who seized humans. Trying to put a stop to Proximus Caesar’s oppression, Mae and Noa join forces for a better future.

The IMAX poster of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes also generated much buzz among the masses. Dropped on X (formerly Twitter) by artist Matt Ferguson, the accompanied note read, “Very happy to have continued my Apes series of posters with this new official art for Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes.”

Besides Freya Allen and Owen Teague, other voice artists in the film include Kevin Durand, Dichen Lachman, William H Macy, Peter Macon, Sara Wiseman and Neil Sandilands.
