Housefull 5 tries to bring back the madness of its earlier parts, but sadly, it never manages to match the fun. With a massive ensemble cast and lavish sets, it ends up being a chaotic disappointment, where the humour quotient even fails to impress. What should have been a fun, madcap mystery turns into a forced comedy with weak writing and over-the-top gags. The plot is predictable. There’s a clear attempt to recreate the OG Housefull chaos, but it just doesn’t land. Despite its glossy packaging and star power, Housefull 5 lacks genuine laughs or clever twists, making it a tiring and chaotic watch that fails to engage the audience.

There is a little intrigue around the characters of Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff. However, despite their strong entry, even the lousy writing of their characters do not result in any strong comedic element. This does not give us a lot of hope for the second half unless there’s a solid twist when it comes to the serial killer plotline.
