Amid growing reports of divorce between Govinda and Sunita Ahuja, the actor was snapped at Mumbai airport last night, marking his first appearance following the news of Sunita Ahuja filing a divorce petition. Now, a new picture of Govinda posing for the camera on the flight has circulated online.

In the fresh picture, Govinda was seen seated in his business class seat as he smiled for the camera. The actor was reportedly flying to Bangkok when a fan met him. For his travel look, Govinda wore a comfortable all-white ensemble, consisting of trousers paired with a casual T-shirt, layered under a matching jacket.

As this picture circulated, fans began reacting to it. One wrote, “Bankok jaoge to divorce hoga hi.” Another commented, “Publicity stunt… beta flop beti ka kuch pata nahi, so wife is forcing her husband to restart career. She’s trying her best to make his comeback. Divorce and all is just a stunt for publicity, I guess.” A third user said, “Bcoz Govinda ji knows that divorce matters are fake.”

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s Divorce

According to a report by Hauterrfly, Sunita Ahuja has filed a divorce petition against Govinda in the Bandra Family Court, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion under the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955. The petition, filed in December 2024, claims that Govinda has repeatedly skipped hearings and failed to attend court-mandated counselling sessions. Sunita, however, has been present at every hearing.

In recent interviews, Sunita expressed her frustration not only with Govinda but also with the circle of people he surrounds himself with. In a conversation with The Powerful Humans, she said:

“Today he has four people – a writer, a musician, a secretary, and a lawyer friend. They are of no use. They only say, ‘wah, wah!’ If he makes music, they say, ‘wah, wah… kamaal kar diya.’ They should tell him the truth. When I tell him the truth, he gets upset.”

In her recent vlog, Sunita Ahuja was also seen addressing the divorce rumours. She visited a temple where, while speaking to the priest, she revealed that she has been visiting the Mahalaxmi Mandir since her childhood.

Breaking down in tears, she said:“Main jab Govinda se mili tab maine Maata se wahi maanga ke meri shaadi usse ho jaaye aur jeevan acche se jaaye. Maata ne sab mannat poori kiya. Bacche bhi de diye dono. Par har sach milna aasan nahi hota, unch-neech ho jaata hai. Par main Maata pe itna vishwas karti hoon ke aaj main agar kuch dekh bhi rahi hoon, toh main jaanti hoon jo mera ghar todne ki koshish karega, usko toh woh baithi hai Maa Kaali. (When I met Govinda, I prayed to the Goddess that I should get married to him and have a good life. The Goddess fulfilled all my wishes—she even blessed me with two children. But not every truth in life is easy; there are always ups and downs. Still, I have so much faith in the Goddess that whatever I am witnessing today, I know that whoever tries to break my home, Maa Kaali is there.)”
