A report in TOI says, while Chhaava focused on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the upcoming film is said to revolve around his son, Shahu Maharaj, an equally significant figure in Maratha history. This shift in focus could allow the story to explore a new era while maintaining continuity with the original film’s legacy.

Sources close to the development have revealed that Vicky is keen on collaborating with Utekar once again, especially after the strong response to their previous outing.
