BTS member and singer V’s combat training photos are being circulated on the internet.
A photo of BTS member Taehyung aka V in his military Special Duty Team (SDT) military uniform has surfaced online. Of course, BTS ARMY can’t keep calm. The image, shared on a Facebook community page, shows V dressed in a special black uniform along with his teammates. The accompanying caption reveals that V is serving in the SDT of the 2nd Division Military Police Unit. The SDT, as reported by The Korea Times, is a specialised organization within each military police unit tasked with responsibilities such as initial response to terrorism, VIP protection, and special operations.
Taehyung has been in the headlines for the past few weeks following the news of his application to join the “Special Duty Team,” a counter-terrorism military unit. V, who enlisted in December of last year at the Army Nonsan Training Center, had reportedly expressed his interest in joining the military police during his basic training.

The pictures, which show the two singers posing alongside their fellow group members, garnered significant attention and prompted a wave of well wishes and discussion about the BTS members fulfilling their military obligations.

BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has commenced his Special Duty training at the ARMY general school administration. On January 16, the Layover singer successfully completed his basic military training alongside RM, graduating with distinction. Recognised for his outstanding performance, he earned the “elite” soldier rank. Following the completion of basic training, he has now embarked on more intensive and rigorous training.
Reportedly, the Special Duty Team program includes automatic rifle training, rigorous physical conditioning, marksmanship development, close-quarters combat skills and equipment familiarization.
BTS, as a group, has been diligently fulfilling their military duties. Jin, the eldest member, began his military service in December 2022. J-Hope enlisted in April of last year, while RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in December 2023. Suga has been serving as a social service worker since September 2023.
