Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi‘s sci-fi romantic comedy, Bhool Chuk Maaf, is set to make its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video, just two weeks after its theatrical release. The Karan Sharma-directed film has performed well at the box office, making a significant collection of Rs 58.95 crore. Despite the industry norm of an eight-week wait, the film’s makers opted for a shorter window, allowing fans to stream it sooner.

When & Where To Watch Bhool Chuk Maaf On OTT

After navigating a controversy and a Rs 60 crore lawsuit over its theatrical release, Bhool Chuk Maaf is reportedly making its debut on Amazon Prime Video on June 6. An official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.

Initially, the makers had opted out of a big-screen release due to heightened security concerns amid Operation Sindoor. Now, audiences can catch the film online from the comfort of their homes. Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios had planned to premiere Bhool Chuk Maaf directly on Prime Video on May 16.

PVR Inox intervened, alleging a breach of contract and demanding an 8-week theatrical window before streaming. The lawsuit sought to enforce the original agreement, sparking a legal dispute over the film’s release.

Furthermore, Wamiqa Gabbi, who plays the role of Titli in Bhool Chuk Maaf, opened up about the film’s OTT release announcement. “I have seen enough that for me it is more important to count blessings, especially in times when everything is going wrong. Vahi time hota hai aap acchi cheezein gine, kya accha hua hai. I can’t find one reason to cry over it. I didn’t, and look, it was released in theatres. Whatever was happening in the country at the time was more important than a film,” the actress told Zoom.

She added, “When they decided to release it on OTT, I thought accha hota agar theatres mein aati so that my entire family could watch it. But, the country comes first and this problem wasn’t as big as what the country went through. The country fought back. Even the film made its way back to theatres. I couldn’t contribute to what was happening. Everything happens for good.”

Alongside Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, the film also stars Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Raghubir Yadav, and Zakir Hussain in key roles.
