Hrithik Roshan has a major release this year, and it’s easily the biggest Hindi film of the year. War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, pits Hrithik against Jr. NTR in a large-scale spy action thriller. This will be a direct sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, which starred Hrithik alongside Tiger Shroff.

During a recent event in the US, Roshan, aka Agent Kabir, opened up about the film and its director. Hrithik made bold statements, claiming that War 2 was his easiest film and that Ayan will surprise everyone with this project.

“War 2 has been my easiest film so far because everything was perfected and schedules were planned amazingly. Ayan Mukerji will surprise you – he’s done something magical, and of course, working with Jr. NTR has taught me so many amazing things,” said the Krrish actor.

It will be interesting to see how Ayan handles the first big action film of his career, as he has had a good track record with rom-coms, coming-of-age dramas, and sci-fi films previously. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, while Jr. NTR plays the antagonist. The leading lady is none other than Kiara Advani. The film is about to be wrapped and is set to be released on August 14, 2025.
