Aadujeevitham Actor KR Gokul To Be Next Seen In Malayalam Movie Mlecchan
The first look of Mlecchan was unveiled on Tuesday.
KR Gokul played the role of Hakeem in Aadujeevitham, for which he underwent a massive physical transformation.
KR Gokul, who made an impressive debut with Blessy’s Aadujeevitham, will next be seen playing a leading man in the upcoming film titled Mlecchan, written and directed by Vinod Raman Nair. The first look of the film was unveiled on Tuesday. Titled Mlecchan, it has the tags The Outcast, The Rebel and The Deliverer.
The film is produced by Vinod Raman Nair, Bhavesh Patel, Ashlesha Rao, Abhinay Bahurupi and Praful Helode. Pradeep Nair is the cinematographer and Sunil S Pillai is on board as the editor. Abhinay Bahurupi, one of the producers, will also be in charge of the music.
Gokul played the role of Hakeem in Aadujeevitham, for which he underwent a massive physical transformation. Inspired by Christian Bale’s remarkable transformation for the 2004 film The Machinist, Gokul lost over 20 kg. Apart from his stunning makeover, the debutant’s portrayal of an innocent youth caught up in slavery has also attracted attention.
“In preparing for my role in the movie Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life, I sought inspiration from Christian Bale’s remarkable dedication. His portrayal of an insomniac, Trevor Reznik, in the 2004 thriller, The Machinist, where he dropped 28 kg through a strict diet of water, an apple and one cup of coffee daily, deeply impressed me. Bale’s performance elevated the film to cult status, and I offer this tribute to his talent and artistry as a devoted admirer of his work,” the actor wrote in his post.
KR Gokul shared the picture just a few days ago and since then, the post has garnered a lot of praise from social media users. “Prithviraj is an established actor… And you are a just beginner… Yet we compete to reach his level… Both acting wise and dedication wise,” wrote one user. “Your efforts and hard work have paid off! Congratulations on this achievement and best wishes for an exciting journey,” wrote another.
