There is a very interesting buzz building around Udta Teer, and this time it isn’t just the usual pre-release noise. The trailer has climbed to the No. 1 trending spot on YouTube, and more importantly, the chatter around it feels genuinely positive. That is quite something for a comedy, especially in a market where audiences have become increasingly difficult to impress with loud jokes and familiar formulas.

What seems to have worked is the trailer’s ability to balance comedy with mystery.
