Mirzapur sees good momentum in advance sales; Matching Awarapan 2 –
Mirzapur Advance Bookings:
Mirzapur has started its advance booking campaign on a promising note, with the film witnessing good momentum in ticket sales during its initial days. Advance bookings opened yesterday, and the response from audiences in the early hours has been encouraging.
According to the latest trends, Mirzapur sold over 11,000 tickets across the PVR INOX and Cinepolis national chains yesterday. The momentum has continued today, with around 4,500 more tickets already sold. With several hours still left in the day, the film is expected to cross the 20,000-ticket mark in national chains by the end of today.
The early trend puts Mirzapur in a healthy position ahead of its release. If the momentum continues over the next few days, the film could eye 1,00,000+ ticket sales in the national chains before its release.
Interestingly, the advance booking trend is somewhat similar to Emraan Hashmi‘s Awarapan 2, which also recorded a comparable response in national chains before its release. Awarapan 2 later opened to a fantastic ₹22 crore nett at the Indian box office.

Of course, advance booking numbers alone do not guarantee a similar opening, but Mirzapur has an added advantage in the form of the Janmashtami holiday. The holiday boost, combined with the film’s strong brand recognition and positive early momentum, could give its opening-day collections a significant push. At the moment, the ₹20 crore nett mark looks very much possible if bookings continue to grow at the same pace.
Mirzapur carries a strong cast, including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal and other popular faces from the franchise. All eyes will now be on how the advance sales perform in the coming days.
