The Hindi film industry has had a mixed run at the box office in 2026 so far. While a handful of big releases have delivered strong numbers, a large number of films have struggled to make an impact. With around 65-70 Bollywood releases arriving in theatres until August, only five films have managed to achieve Hit status.

Aditya Dhar‘s Dhurandhar 2 is comfortably leading the list with a massive ₹1005 crore collection. The film has emerged as an All Time Blockbuster and is followed by Border 2, which has collected around ₹315 crore and earned a Superhit verdict.

Akshay Kumar‘s Bhooth Bangla stands at the third position with ₹165 crore and is classified as a Hit, while Dhamaal 4 has collected around ₹158 crore to occupy the fourth spot. However, the battle for fifth place is still open.

Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has already emerged as a major success and is currently expected to finish its theatrical run in the ₹160-170 crore range. If the film reaches the higher end of its expected lifetime collection, it could comfortably move ahead of Dhamaal 4 and secure the fifth position among the biggest Bollywood grossers of the year.

Among the non-Hits, Welcome 3 has collected around ₹131 crore and is classified as Average. Cocktail 2 has earned approximately ₹85 crore and is Below Average, while Main Vaapas Aaunga has collected ₹60 crore and received an Average verdict.

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s Alpha stands at ₹56 crore and is considered a Flop, whereas Mardaani 3 has earned around ₹49 crore and is Below Average.

The numbers highlight the uneven performance of Bollywood in 2026, with only a small number of films managing to deliver successful theatrical runs so far.
