Alpha Literally Crashes on Monday with 58% Drop, Hit Status Slips Away –
Alpha Monday Box Office Collection:
Alpha witnessed a sharp drop on its first Monday, raising concerns about its box office trajectory. After a decent weekend, the film couldn’t sustain momentum as collections fell by around 58 percent on Day 4.
The film opened on Friday with ₹9 crore, followed by a noticeable jump on Saturday with ₹11.50 crore. Sunday performed slightly better, bringing in ₹13 crore and taking the weekend total to a respectable ₹33.50 crore. However, the real test began on Monday, where the film managed only ₹3.75 crore. This takes the four-day total to approximately ₹37.25 crore nett. The heavy rain in Mumbai has hurt the film somewhat.

While the weekend trend indicated some potential, the Monday drop has put the film under pressure. At this point, Alpha is expected to close its first week in the range of ₹46–47 crore nett, which is decent but not strong enough considering its scale and expectations.
Starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh, and Bobby Deol, the film had generated decent buzz before release. However, mixed word of mouth and average audience response seem to be affecting its hold at the box office.

For Alpha to secure an “Average” verdict, it needs to cross at least ₹80 crore nett in India. Given the current trend, that target looks challenging unless the film shows an unexpected turnaround in the coming days. As things stand, the Hit tag already appears to be out of reach. The film now depends heavily on weekday stability and the upcoming weekend jump to improve its final box office standing.

In our review, we wrote:
Alpha is the latest addition to YRF’s Spy Universe, and this time it’s led by female protagonists. Yes, that’s something new on paper, but sadly, there’s nothing fresh in the writing. They clearly haven’t learned anything from the previous debacle, War 2. Alpha is overloaded with twists and conflicts, making the storyline messy and the characters extremely thin. I just couldn’t take them seriously. The undercover agent concept has already been explored countless times, and yet Alpha doesn’t even try to reinvent it. Post Dhurandhar, the audience’s eye for detail and realism has become sharper, and this film will likely be slammed for feeling weak both internally and externally.
