Shahid Kapoor-starrer Drops on Monday by 55%, Nears 50 Crore Mark –
Cocktail 2 Monday Box Office:
Shahid Kapoor’s Cocktail 2 had a decent opening weekend at the box office but witnessed the expected drop on its first Monday. Despite the dip, the film has managed to hold steady and is now inching close to the ₹50 crore mark in India.
Cocktail 2 Box Office Collections:
The film opened on Friday with a decent ₹12 crore, followed by expected growth over the weekend. On Saturday, collections jumped to ₹15.50 crore, while Sunday saw a little spike with ₹16.50 crore coming in. However, like most films, Monday brought a noticeable decline, with early estimates suggesting around ₹5.25 crore. This takes the total collection to approximately ₹49.25 crore nett in four days.
Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 stars Shahid Kapoor alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. The film benefited from good initial buzz and weekend footfalls, but the weekday trend will be crucial in determining its long-term performance.
As per current trends, the film is expected to wrap up its first week in the range of ₹64–65 crore. However, the real challenge will begin in the second week, especially with Welcome To The Jungle arriving in cinemas and potentially affecting its screen count and collections.
At this stage, Cocktail 2 is unlikely to achieve a ‘Hit’ verdict based on its trajectory. However, if it manages a steady hold in the coming days and performs decently in week two, it still has a chance to secure an ‘Average’ verdict. All eyes are now on how the film sustains amidst upcoming competition.
