Bhooth Bangla blends horror and comedy across its 2.45-hour narrative, with the first half leaning towards humour, while the post-interval portions delve into a darker past. The humour works, although a few sequences may come across as slightly naughty… It’s the eerie atmosphere that forms the backbone, while the attention-grabbing VFX enhances the film’s visual appeal. An entertainer that works for most parts… The AkshayKumar – Priyadarshan combo doesn’t disappoint – the chills and chuckles are in equal measure.

You walk in expecting a rollercoaster. You get a slow, creaky haunted house ride that stops way too often and not in a fun, jump-scare way! If only this bangla had fewer bhooths and a lot more brains.

The final face-off between Akshay’s character and the supposed ghost falls flat and offers nothing new. You’ve seen this part of the film before; it just had a different name. And this time, even that familiarity doesn’t work in its favour. It ends on a note that feels more tired than satisfying.

Bhooth Bangla is certainly a must-watch film in cinemas. This film successfully starts a new innings of the comedy era that we’ll deserve. Hope to see Priyadarshan churn out more comedy with his favourite trio of Akki, Paresh, and Rajpal.

Bhooth Bangla is a comfort cinema with a haunted twist. It’s messy, loud, nostalgic, and genuinely entertaining. It reminds you why we fell in love with this genre in the first place. And in a time where everyone is chasing trends, this film just sticks to good old storytelling and wins. The casting of Akshay Kumar returning to a Priyadarshan “haunted palace” setup—especially with the Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav trinity—is basically the cinematic equivalent of a warm hug for fans of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which is why you cannot miss this one.

Bhooth Bangla is not just a film – it’s a reminder of a genre Bollywood once ruled. With Akshay Kumar back in top comic form and Priyadarshan orchestrating the madness, the film delivers exactly what it promises: laughter, chaos, and a hint of spooky fun. If you’ve been waiting to see Akshay Kumar in his full comic glory again, Bhooth Bangla is your ticket to pure entertainment.
