On the whole, Dhurandhar is a surefire hit. In spite of excessive violence and its more-than-normal running time and notwithstanding its adult certification, it will prove to be a richly rewarding film. Ladies and families may be hesitant initially to watch the film but they will also ultimately go to the cinemas once the positive word of mouth spreads, because the film lays bare what many of us are unaware of.

Some viewers may be disappointed because several visuals in the Dhurandhar trailer belong to part two, which will release in cinemas on March 19, 2026. Dhurandhar doesn’t end with the “Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?” cliffhanger like Baahubali: The Beginning, but audiences will be back in theatres come March to see where Dhurandhar goes before it concludes. Hopefully, part two does justice to Ranveer Singh the actor.

Through a large part of the film, Hamza stands around Rehman like his other minion and jumps to do his bidding. By the time he schemes and plots to come into his own, the film has run its course, plus some, and has more killings to go in the next film. In the meantime, script writers and directors feeling the nationalistic vibe, can look into other R&AW files. We need a government that allows us to act, says Sanyal/Doval. The signal flare has been fired.

The film is ambitious, engaging, occasionally exhausting, but always watchable. Not every choice lands, but the world Dhar builds is gripping enough to keep you invested. Dhurandhar is a sprawling, muscular, politically sharp thriller that bites off a lot, and thanks to Khanna’s explosive brilliance, chews most of it successfully.

Overall, Dhurandhar is enjoyable, and it will work at the box office. Watch it with patience. See this film from Hamza’s POV, and you’ll be engrossed in his journey to enemies from their territory.

In the end, Dhurandhar stands as a film of strong intent and impressive ambition—rooted in real events, backed by scale, and powered by committed performances—but it never completely becomes the tense, immersive spy thriller it sets out to be. It remains a respectable attempt with enough positives for a one-time watch, though its overall impact stays closer to “just okay” than exceptional.

Aditya Dhar excels as writer, director, and creator. He isn’t just an intelligent filmmaker, he is a deeply thoughtful writer. This film must have been a massive challenge to script because of the many narrative threads, yet he balances all of them. Each character gets space, and their names appear on-screen to ensure viewers remember them.If you enjoy patriotic films and want to understand how India’s intelligence machinery works, Dhurandhar is absolutely for you.

The Aditya Dhar actioner fully justifies its runtime with adrenaline-pumping set pieces and relentless high-voltage action. The background score amplifies the drama further, ensuring the tension never dips. Yet, the undisputed highlight of Dhurandhar is Ranveer Singh. Even with a powerhouse ensemble delivering knockout performances, he commands the screen and reminds audiences of his unmatched range after a rather quiet phase in his career. With Dhurandhar, Ranveer delivers a roaring comeback and gives a strong statement to critics who were waiting to watch him fall.

Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar (who has also written the film), not just boasts of being one of Bollywood’s lengthiest films, it also drags at a whole bunch of places. The film, which has been ‘inspired by true incredible events’, should have surely cut down on many scenes. The first half so far is nothing less than a drag-fest.Till the interval, the film is a semi-dragfest. Those who love action will surely find the film appealing. Wait for our full review post the interval.
