Not Just A Great Sci-fi Flick, But A Timeless Entertainer
RATING – 4/5*
Aditya 369 Review Movie Talkies:
One has to look at Singeetam Srinivasa Rao’s filmography during that period. He had already delivered the silent masterpiece Pushpaka Vimana with Kamal Haasan, followed by 3 films in Kannada cinema, and later returned to Tamil films with two delightful entertainers — Apoorva Sagodharargal and Michael Madana Kama Rajan. Then he immediately ventured into Telugu cinema with Aditya 369 – what a remarkable creative journey for any filmmaker. Having previously worked as an assistant director with the legendary K. V. Reddy on classics like Mayabazar (1957) and Jagadeka Veeruni Katha (1961), one can easily understand the depth of his craft and the kind of cinematic education he carried forward.
Aditya 369 Status:
Aditya 369 may not hold the same iconic status as Mayabazar, but it definitely brings flashes of that grand cinematic vision. While Hollywood had HG Wells’ The Time Machine adapted famously into the Back to the Future (1985) series and Bollywood had Mr. India (1987) sparking sci-fi imagination, Telugu cinema too needed a landmark in the genre — and Aditya 369 proudly became that milestone. Nandamuri Balakrishna shines in a dual role as Krishna Kumar and Emperor Krishnadevaraya, delivering memorable performances in two distinct timelines.

Aditya 369 Structure:
The film brilliantly blends science fiction with both historical and futuristic storytelling — from the majestic era of Krishnadevaraya in 1526 to a visually striking post-apocalyptic 2504, where high technology battles a diminishing human world. The first half takes its time to set the stage, but the second half unleashes a full-throttle dose of entertainment. Packed with comedy, drama, romance, gripping sci-fi elements, clever humour, solid music and dance — it has everything mainstream audiences love.

Aditya 369 Review Movie Review:
Aditya 369 is the kind of film you revisit for nostalgia and happily pass down to younger generations as an example of Telugu cinema’s creative pride. The performances are strong, the production design is wonderfully imaginative, and Singeetam Srinivasa Rao’s direction transforms it into an evergreen classic that still holds its charm.
