Suneel Darshan’s story is jaded and offers no novelty whatsoever. The love triangle is so routine and hackneyed that it simply fails to engage the viewers. His screenplay, with additional screenplay by Dipan Bhatt, is even worse than the commonplace story. The love story becomes more like an action and family drama after interval, so much so that the romantic track takes a complete back seat. Even that may have been acceptable had the action portion offered thrills and/or had the family drama been full of sentiments. But neither does the action portion involve the viewers nor do the sentiments touch the heart at all.On the whole, Andaaz 2 is a non-starter. It will go largely unnoticed.

Suneel Darshan’s story is okay. Suneel Darshan’s screenplay is peppered with certain interesting emotional and dramatic moments. But overall, it’s unexciting and obsolete. The dialogues are also nothing great.On the whole, ANDAAZ 2 is embellished with great music but it suffers on account of a weak script and poor direction.

The film fails even on music department, which was the strongest suit of the original. Nadeem Saifi (who is credited as ‘Of Nadeem-Sharvan fame’) and his army of singers Neeraj Shridhar, Javed Ali, Palak Muchhal, Amit Mishra fail to render even a half decent song.The sheer awfulness of Andaaz 2 really doesn’t deserve anyone’s time or attention.
