Saiyaara takes a Huge Opening; Initially Bigger than Chhaava, Sikandar, Housefull 5 and Raid 2 –

Saiyaara box office:

Mohit Suri romantic musical Saiyaara, starring debutant Ahaan Panday and newcomer Aneet Padda, has taken a roaring start at the box office. The film collected an impressive ₹19-20 crore nett on its opening day, placing it among the top 5 openers of the year. This strong beginning is especially remarkable considering Saiyaara is not a sequel, nor did it release on a holiday, unlike some of its competitors.

To put things in perspective, Saiyaara has opened better than Raid 2, which featured Ajay Devgn and had the advantage of a partial Labour Day holiday. It has also scored a higher initial than Housefull 5, Sikandar, and even Chhaava on a nationwide level, despite having fewer screens and facing capacity issues in several centres. These films had major stars and much bigger promotional backing, yet Saiyaara managed to draw in the crowd based on its music, buzz, and fresh appeal.

Saiyaara Box Office Day Collection:

The film is now the fourth biggest opener of 2025 so far, behind only Chhaava (₹29 crore), Sikandar (₹25 crore), and Housefull 5 (₹22 crore). Given that Saiyaara was made on a much smaller budget than those biggies, its returns are already looking solid. If the film maintains a decent hold on weekdays, it is almost certain to become a Superhit, and might even reach Blockbuster status.

Mohit Suri seems to be back in form with Saiyaara, and Ahaan Panday along with Aneet Padda have got a dream start to their careers. The strong word of mouth and hit music is only going to help the film grow further in the days to come.
