Housefull 5 scores biggest weekend for Akshay Kumar :

Akshay Kumar has achieved the biggest opening of his career with his latest release, Housefull 5. The multi-starrer comedy has collected approx. 79-79.50 crore nett in the first three days, making it the highest opening figure for any Akshay Kumar film, surpassing Sooryavanshi (2021), which collected 76 crore nett.  

Sooryavanshi had a restricted release after the pandemic and performed well with 76 crore nett in the opening weekend, making it the biggest of Akshay’s career at that time. Now, Housefull 5 has edged past that number by a small margin of 3-3.5 crore nett, with a wide release and higher ATP (average ticket price). This also means that Housefull 5 hasn’t surpassed the footfalls of the cop action drama and is likely to follow the same trend in its lifetime run.
