The Met Gala 2025 was nothing short of a showstopper! Held at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, this year’s edition of fashion’s biggest night was all about celebrating the theme – Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.

Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, the dress code for the evening was Tailored To You.
And guess what? Indian celebs showed up in full force, slaying the red carpet like absolute royalty. From debut appearances to seasoned Met pros, here’s a look at who wore what and how they owned the night!
Indian Celebs At Met Gala 2025 – 1) Shah Rukh Khan
King Khan finally made his much-awaited Met Gala debut, and he did not disappoint. Dressed by Sabyasachi, Shah Rukh Khan looked regal in a sharp black suit accented with gold accessories. He carried a Bengal Tiger Head cane, wore a brooch, and a long pendant with the letter K that screamed King Khan energy.

2) Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra returned to the Met carpet for the fifth time and made sure all eyes were on her. Wearing a polka dot suit dress by Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, Priyanka added a dash of sparkle with Bvlgari high jewellery. Accompanied by husband Nick Jonas, the couple looked as stylish as ever.

Making her Met Gala debut as a glowing mom to be, Kiara Advani stunned in a custom creation by Gaurav Gupta. Her gown featured a sculpted antique gold breastplate decked with ghungroos and crystals. The look beautifully symbolized two hearts, mother and child, connected by an abstract umbilical cord. Talk about fashion with meaning.

4) Sabyasachi Mukherjee
The designer Sabyasachi himself walked the Met carpet in a look that paid homage to Black Dandyism through Indian royal heritage. He wore a hand quilted oversized court jacket and sherwani in Murshidabad silk, paired with black quilted trousers, a satin shirt and a kamarbandh. Finishing touches included luxe accessories from his own Bengal Royale jewellery collection.
5) Diljit Dosanjh
Diljit brought full on Punjabi royalty to New York. Dressed in a custom outfit by designer Parul Gurung, he celebrated his roots and gave the global stage a glimpse of Indian tradition in style. He definitely turned heads and won hearts.

Ace designer Manish Malhotra made his own sartorial statement with an elaborately embroidered cape coat worn over a silk shirt and a detailed tie. Elegant, bold and totally Met worthy.

7) Isha Ambani
Isha Ambani stepped out in a dreamy Anamika Khanna ensemble. Her look was complete with statement jewels, including a gorgeous diamond necklace from her mother Nita Ambani’s collection. Pure elegance.
8) Natasha Poonawalla
Always known for her fashion forward choices, businesswoman Natasha Poonawalla wowed once again in an extravagant look by Manish Malhotra. Her outfit featured a sculpted fishtail skirt made from two vintage Gara saris, a vintage French lace bralette, and a tailored black Gara jacket. She topped it all with a sculptural lace cravat that pulled the whole look together.
9) Mona Patel
Tech entrepreneur Mona Patel made a memorable Met Gala debut in a custom Thom Browne outfit. But it wasn’t just her attire that caught attention. She was accompanied by Vector, a robotic grey dog, which definitely added a futuristic twist to her presence.
